ANZAC Day Commemoration Assembly Berry Public School will be holding their ANZAC Day Commemorative Assembly on Thursday the 2nd of May at 11am in the school hall. All parents and community members are welcome to attend this assembly. We would like to invite Ex-Service and Current Serving Defence Force Men and Women as special guests for our Anzac Day Commemorative Assembly. We invite you to wear any medals you may have, and if currently serving, your uniform. All guests are invited to attend a morning tea in the library after the assembly. Please contact Miss Wearne, Mrs Felton or the office staff if you have any questions. Could the Ex-Service and Current Serving Men and Women please inform the office if they are able to attend so that we can cater for our special guests and ensure all dignitaries have reserved seating.

Gadhungal Marring Stage 3 excursion

S3 Gadhungal Marring excursion As part of the Gadhungal Marring program, students will have the chance to engage in an immersive on Country learning experience at Ben's Walk, Nowra. This scenic walk along the Shoalhaven River offers insights into the area's rich heritage and natural beauty. The excursion, led by the Gadhungal Marring team and accompanied by the Stage 2 teachers, will begin at the Nowra Showground. The day commences with an opening ceremony, followed by meaningful activities. Students will explore the traditions and culture of the region's traditional custodians, immersing themselves in Dharawal language and learning about the area's significant history. Students will be divided into three rotational groups. Each group is named after a local sacred place, honouring the region's traditional heritage. Gaambiwarra- Cambewarra Mountain Djallubagaang - Coolangatta Mountain Moeyan- Moeyan Hill By exploring the local Indigenous communities’ deep connection to the land, students will gain a deeper appreciation for their role in the community and their responsibility to care for these places.
