Berry Public School has been recognised for our oustanding approach to student wellbeing by the Australian Education Awards in both 2022 and 2023.
In 2022 we recieved an Excellence award in the category of 'Best Student Wellbeing Program', in 2023 we went on to win the Australian Education Awards 2023 excellence award for ‘Best Student Wellbeing Program’ in Australia. This award factors in schools from all around Australia and includes public, private and independant schools.
Berry was awarded this high accolade due to our exceptional support programs that focus on holistic education and student wellbeing. We acknowledge the significant impact that positive student wellbeing has on belonging, achievement and mental health.
We pride ourselves on inclusion, support and an environment that fosters learning and exploration. Our Living Ripples program provides students, teachers and families with tools and resources to identify challenges and reflect on mental health with the view to build resilience and provide necessary intervention. A dedicated First Nations Language and Culture program with our new partners Gadhungal Murring has enhanced belonging, connection and engagement.
