The Ripple Project

Ripple is focused on enhancing student resilience and wellbeing.

Ripple is a very special collaborative partnership between Berry Public School, The Phillips Foundation, The University of Western Sydney and a range of world class program providers.

“Resilience is not an inherent state, nor is it created in isolation, resilience, particularly youth resilience, is best approached as a community, with the school playing a central role – the benefits of individual resilience ripple out to others, and through lifetimes.”  (Professor Amanda Third, Co Director of The Young Resilient Centre, Western Sydney University.)

How Does Ripple Work?

Ripple has 4 collaborative parts that create positive, long term impact:

1. Ripple Living Lab – A team from The Phillips Foundation and The Youth Resilient Research Centre, University Western Sydney, will run fun and creative workshops with your school community to identify the key challenges and opportunities for supporting resilience in your school. A unique Ripple program is then designed for your school.

2. Ripple Launch – Our Ripple wellbeing partners provide an online kick-off program for your school with an overview of the key learning areas physical, mental and relationship health for your students and teachers.

3. Ripple Core Weekly Program – 5 minute video wellness bursts are conducted during class time to improve and measure students' self-esteem and resilience.

4. Ripple Boosters – Based on students interests and needs at your school, Booster incursion programs will be offered in specific learning areas, to support and celebrate improvements.
