Learning Support Team

Learning Support Team

The Learning Support Team (LST) consists of the Learning Support Team coordinator, the principal, school counsellor and a teacher representative from each stage.

The team meets fortnightly to discuss students with learning, behavioural, welfare and social needs. The team prioritises a collaborative approach to student learning support and wellbeing, with our Wrap-Around Support model as the backbone of our LST processes.

The LST supports students identified on the National Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) framework for physical, social, emotional, sensory or cognitive disabilities.  Students are provided with support through reasonable adjustments to assist them to access and participate in education on the same basis as other students.

Wrap-Around Support:

Berry Public School is committed to providing a comprehensive and holistic approach to student learning through its innovative use of wrap-around support. We have implemented a multifaceted strategy to address the diverse needs of its students with student needs being at the centre of everything we do.

This includes collaboration with parents, educators, allied health services and community resources to create a holistic support system that surrounds each student.

By integrating academic, social, and emotional support,  ensures that students receive the attention necessary for their success. The wrap-around support model fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting not only academic achievement but also overall well-being.

Through this approach, the school strives to empower students with the tools and resources they need to thrive academically and personally, preparing them for a successful future.
