Berry Public School’s canteen meets all the Department of Education's guidelines following the school’s healthy canteen policy.
In 2011, a competition was held to re-name our school canteen and BlueBerry Bites was born.
Run by a sub committee of the parents and citizens' association (P&C), BlueBerry Bites aims to give the children of the school the opportunity to purchase a variety of food from our extensive menu.
The canteen also caters for school events such as Open Day, Grandparent’s Day, school carnivals and the school by providing special lunch menus and extra items on those days. BlueBerry Bites also run special days such as Sushi Day, Fried Rice Friday to raise money for the Berry Public School P&C.
A full time coordinator ensures we are able to create a greater selection of homemade goodies with the help of our parent volunteers. Parent volunteers are always welcome. Pop in or call on the school number if you can spare a morning (9:30am to 12:30pm) or afternoon (1:20pm to 2pm). New faces are always welcome.
