End of Term Wrap-Up!

We can’t believe we have reached the end of Term 3 already! It has certainly been a term full of changes and challenges, and we are really grateful for the ongoing support of students, parents and carers learning from home. While school and learning looked very different this term, there was still so much positivity that radiated from our students through the work they submitted, the emails they sent, and the interactions that were had on Zoom.

All of the staff at Berry Public School are so proud of what the students have achieved during this time, and we have certainly missed having them in the classroom.

We have put together some highlights of home learning from each stage to show you some of the amazing work that was produced and the fun that was had! We hope you enjoy reflecting on the fantastic work!

Early Stage 1

Miss Boan and Miss Henning were so impressed with the effort, determination and enthusiasm shown by our Kindergarten students. They were blown away by some of the amazing work produced by the Kindergarten children. Thank you parents for your ongoing support.

Stage 1

The Stage 1 teachers saw some wonderful work samples from their students and enjoyed seeing your faces on Zoom each morning. One of the highlights would have to be cooking bruschetta together with the Ripple Project and dressing up for Book Week!

Stage 2

Stage 2 students produced some fabulous work during home learning this term. Their teachers were impressed by the projects they present via Zoom and their effort to complete their assigned work. Some particular highlights were their creative Paint Pot artworks and well-presented Geography brochures!

Stage 3 - Year 6

Year 6 have been completing an Asian research project. For the first five weeks of Term 3, Year 6 students  were studying Asia in general using the INQUISITIVE Geography program. They used maps for location, found interesting general facts, history and similarities between countries.

In the second half of the term, during home learning, students had to refine their research skills and concentrate on one Asian country of their choice. After gathering information they had to answer three questions in their own words, also adding a quick facts box, flag, map and ask their family if they would like to travel to their selected country. Though we can not hold an Asian Expo like we planned, to display our work, we hope to have them on display for other classes  in Term 4!
